Oil Lamp

A Herodian-style clay lamp with a hidden LED flame.

Printing

Four parts: body, support comb, base plug, and flame insert. Load the body and comb as one object with two parts; the slicer adds supports for the cavity and handle. Print the plug flat and the flame insert upright. Snap off the comb and clean up.

Finishing

Rub on Bondo glazing putty with your fingers in thin, uneven horizontal layers for a pottery texture. Paint with Rust-Oleum Terracotta Chalk, then add washes to redden it. Keep it matte.
